SS-3300-K is used for general food cans which
do not require oil resistance. Especially, it is appropriate
for beverage cans, beer, fruit juice, carbonated drinks etc.
The compound is suitable for use in either two-piece or three-piece
cans of either tin-plate or aluminum. |

SS-3310-KR is a solvent
base type can sealing compound with synthetic rubber as its
main component developed mainly for use in beverage cans. |

Handling
and Storage |
|
Since SS-3310-K is made of N-Hexane, a petroleum
hydroocarbon at low boiling point, proper care should be given
to the handling and storage. It should be stored at a cool(20~25?)
and well-ventilated place free from flames and direct sunlight
so that no chance of fire is allowed. |
Stirring |
|
When the sealing compounds are long stored,
deposit may occur. So, stir the drum well before using them.
If dilution is needed to reduce the viscosity, dilute the
compounds with N-Hexane.
For mixing, use a mixer for 1-2 hours to mix the compounds
before using them. |
Drying |
|
The solvent for the compound is N-Hexane, which
requires no special drying facilities. Dry the compound at
ambient temperature. For drying, allow good ventilation for
at least 48 hours so no remaining solvent should be left. |
Use |
|
SS-3310-K is a quick-drying compound. Preheating
will improve the workability and allow the compound to dry
quicker. Preheating should be performed within the range of
37~45? and in the environment where there is no danger of
explosion. |
